Default Bidders Beware Ebay Seller vkmk0

Guys,

There is a seller on Ebaymotors that sells a lot of good (or appear to be high quality) small block and FE parts.

About two weeks ago, he had around 3-4 cast 3.78" FE crankshafts that were all prepped the same way.....10/10 on the journals, chamfered oil holes, micropolished.

He wanted different prices for them, but there was one that had a starting bid of $63. I bid on it...put in a max bid of $65.

It was a 10 day auction...no one else bid on it through the entire duration. About an hour before the auction end, he ended the auction.

Of course I understand that seller's have the right to end the auction at anytime. That's fine.

However, he put the crankshaft up for auction again, this time with a starting bid of $133.

I emailed him and asked him if I made the minimum bid, would he honor it or pull the auction before it's up because he's not getting the money he wants...I told him it was bad business to practice those actions...and if he made a mistake on the reserve, he should be kind enough to make it up to the bidder....or meet in the middle somewhere.

He replied with a very nasty email. First of all he told me that one of his neighbors needed that crank for their hay truck because the bottom end came out of it.....second of all he told me that he was going to "ban" me from any other emails or bids on his auctions.

What a wonderful person.

Of course there's nothing I can do about it...I'm kinda glad I didn't do business with him....but I just wanted to let others know that if you're bidding on his auctions, don't be surprised if he yanks them if he's not getting the money he wants.

I did reply to him once again and asked him why he gave his neighbor "my" crankshaft when he had at least 2 others on Ebay of the very same type that weren't receiving any bids. And when do you put a fully micropolished, chamfered crank in a hay truck anyway?

He hasn't replied. Apparently he think I'm stupid and expects everyone to believe his BS stories.

Just wanted to vent. Like I said, just beware of any auctions being offered by this seller. I may have gone overboard in some of my replies to him....but just cover your butt with his items up for bid.
