Front Spring Rates

What are the recommended front coil-over spring rates for a Contemporary with an aluminium 427?

Depends upon the use.
Typical driving with a height adjustable unit should be 250lb to 275lb rate. For hard racing maybe more with 300max. Keep in mind an ally FE is probably comparable to SB cast so the 275 should suffice for all occasions.

I prefer lower rate as the bite is better, personal preference....

what about the rears, what should they be?
Can you also tell me what length they should all be please? The shockers have adjustable spring platforms.
BTW, the car will only be used on the roads.

Keep in mind this is a 2300lb car!

Original Jaguar (4000lb car) rate is 250lb each at 10" length, I think on adjustable style they are 9". That however depends upon the shock being used. I used 250lb rate with great success and the squat was perfect. Removes the CCX perky butox as well. Stance was nice but hard cornering and a bump may cause a rub which is not unusual for these cars with the larger tires. Most of the time it was never an issue.

ERA and CCX recomend 350lb rates but for me that was too stiff. 250lb was perfect, remember that is with two per side unlike your new KMS! Good luck!

So can I just confirm, 275lb springs on the front and 250lb springs on the rear?

While we're on suspension, do you have any recommended alignment settings?
