Contemporary Classic questions

Can someone point me in the right direction regarding history of the Contemporary Classic company and detailed comparison of Contemporary vs. ERA (pros & cons?).

There seems to be some interesting used Contemporary's on the market, but I don't know much about them other than they use a round tube frame...

Are there any old threads that could provide answers?

Thanks,
Bill

There are some great comparo articles from the Cobra portfolios books put together some years back. Both very visually correct and well put together cars with a lot of details for the nuts about it. Biggest is frames as you know CCX 4" round tube, ERA is RHS (rect tube).

Bill,

Contemporary and ERA are both excellent cars, I've owned a few of both and have my ERA on the market at a cut rate price to buy a certain 289FIA Contemporary.....It's no secret I lust after a 289FIA (ERA or Contemporary would not make a difference to me), have only owned one 289FIA to date (a Unique).......Round tube on the Contemporary gives it an extra air of authenticity vs the square tube of the ERA, but besides that they are neck and neck as to quality, fit, and finish........You could not go wrong with either company........

Hope this is helpful.
