Default Adjustable height front torsion bars

I thought I'd try and gauge interest first before getting too many hours into this project. If you have tried getting torsion bars low enough without hitting the frame to set them to the manual measurement then played with indexing increments on torsion bars you know how frustrating and what a knuckle buster this can be. Especially when it's all back together and you don't like the height! One of the clever CCX guys came up with this and we wanted to offer it as potentially being available. If you're interested let me know because we all know what quantity does to price.

Nick:
I've seen something similar (an adjustable torsion plate) at one of the XKE restoration outlets in CA. Not applicable to our cars but a very good idea. I'd sure be interested in a set.

Hi Nick;

The only information I've seen on adjusting the torsional bars is in the old Contemporary and Jag XKE manual.

I'm interested in having a setup that makes it easier to set up, since I will have to set up the height shortly after my engine is installed.

Count me in for this setup!!

George

Don't know if this would fit - width or pan clearance may be problematic. Maybe they'd have another option?

Rob Beere-Suspension

Also, Classic Jaguar is a US rep: adjustable torsion plate

Just a thought,

Tom

Hi Tom, indeed it's not a new idea but as you point out the width is specific to our cars and the plate between would also be in our way. I'm kicking around some numbers for a six pack of them now.

These are on Kirks car now and I have tried adjusting the height with them. It is fast and easy! I will post some pics when paint is dry and they are finally installed.
