Thor,

A day or so ago Chevy announced they were going to discontinue the Chevy cars in Europe and concentrate on Opel and another brand. This morning I saw they plan to stop making them in Australia at the end of 2014. Better buy some extra parts to store if they do carry through with that.

Ron ;)

To the Ford only in a Cobra crowd, I want to have the dream so I match the number of rivets on the scoop, match the color code from the championship year 1965, I match the windshield wipers (found the original supplier from 1963) and are desperate to put GOODYEAR on there tires, or have to have Carroll Shelby sign there glove box(opps too late), yes a Chevy motor will be the kiss of death. But for the HotRod guy, I am a car guy, it is not what you buy, it is what you build guy,I want the best performance for my dollar guy, I just want the best performance, PERIOD guy,I am a Chevy guy, I want to go to Advanced Auto and be able to get parts guy, I am in Australia and a Gm is the only way to go guy,The Chevy is a BONUS.

The "real" Contemporary prototype (as confirmed by Peter Bayer) belongs to me, and it's currently for sale on E-Bay. It is a recently restored slabside car, delivered in July of 1979.
And....by the way.... it has a Ford 289 in it (not a Chevy)!

Wish you the best of luck in your sale, but at $98,500 I believe you will have to find a real sucker with more money than brains :rolleyes:in order to sell it anywhere near your current price point. Used CSX fiberglass slabsides are your competition. With one recently selling for $85,000 (confirmed, will be used for the next wounded warrior raffle)..........
