Mickmate, given my recent questions you'll get a kick out of the chrome plated lower control arms.

Hydrogen embrittlement is not what is needed right there!

The first 12 years were the pre-prototype cars...

There you go, bone stock CCX, couple of factory available upgrades, chrome and polish everything, splice a couple of brake lines together cause you made them too short, add $100K. I believe this was the car Peter talked to me about recently. Wow good luck with that sale price.
Bill maybe we should send them the CCX history thread so they can straighten out some of the description :-)

I have one of the prototypes, maybe he is thinking the front coil spring suspension or the watts link? Anyway still cool to see the "prototypes" going for $149.000 I might just retire.

Chassis number appears to be CCX-3-3543 (or 3643, my eyes aren't that good any more).

Sorry Thor,

Yours would take a hit in the markets cos your engine is in backwards.
Let's list yours for $100k then. Good luck.

Note

The bowtie motor in any CCX brings the price to below 20k.

Love the original/authentic Shelby parts

SEE SPOT RUN.

"SEE POLISHED ALUMINUM TRUNK AND ELECTRIC TURN OFF SWITCH."

"SEE THE DUEL-QUAD CARBS."

$150,000? Now there's a person who's out of touch with reality. Delusional.

That owner is only delusional if it doesn't sell it for the asking price. The owner is a genius if they get the asking price!!!!

Cheers

Genius? Personally, I don't toss that word around alot. I certainly wouldn't put him or her in the category of say Albert Einstein or Warren Buffet.

In this instance, and NO ONE will pay $150K, you would have two delusional people, both Buyer and seller. And it's called the "Greater Fool Theory."

The car is being sold by S&S Meat Purveyors, Inc. dba United Classic Muscle. Maybe the trunk is filled with $100K of fine salami, sausage and other fine beef and pork products.

So I am thinking that a Chevy motor in a Cobra replica will nose dive its value , is like the Lock Ness monster...a Myth!! To the Ford only in a Cobra crowd, I want to have the dream so I match the number of rivets on the scoop, match the color code from the championship year 1965, I match the windshield wipers (found the original supplier from 1963) and are desperate to put GOODYEAR on there tires, or have to have Carroll Shelby sign there glove box(opps too late), yes a Chevy motor will be the kiss of death. But for the HotRod guy, I am a car guy, it is not what you buy, it is what you build guy,I want the best performance for my dollar guy, I just want the best performance, PERIOD guy,I am a Chevy guy, I want to go to Advanced Auto and be able to get parts guy, I am in Australia and a Gm is the only way to go guy,The Chevy is a BONUS.

Isn't a Watts linkage supposed to be on the rear end of a live axle?

I understand the theory RodKnock, but I also understand that many fools live in this world. Look at the guy that just purchased an XBOX 1 that was actually a sheet of paper for $750 on eBay. Lots of idiots out there with lots of money. The finer beef and pork products would just be an added bonus. They could use the food while a bunch of morons stand around and tell him how cool it is.

Not looking to argue, still do that with my ex wife.
