Default Need Help with Cobra Identification

Looking at this Cobra and not sure what it is...Sundude thought it might be a Contemporary.
Its supposedly a 1988. Titled as a 1967 Cobra Kit
Has a chassis ID plate mounted on the passenger footwell box inside the engine bay that reads:
Shelby American Inc.
Los Angeles California
COBRA
Powered by Ford
Chassis No: DMC000 (didn't get the rest of the digits but 2 or 3 more)

It originally, supposedly, had a 289 or 283 in it. 2nd owner of car switched it over to Chev power. Third owner is the one now selling, nothing added in last 7/8 years except a pusher fan.
5 speed Muncie Transmission with linelock
Pedals come up thru the floor.
Looked like 4" rectangular frame, no coilovers in front, rear looked like Jag
Nice car, but would like to know what it is...
Any input much appreciated, or let me know if I should post this elsewhere on the site to get some feedback
I will be making a second visit to look the car over more closely and hopefully get it on a lift.
Thanks
Mike

There is no "Muncie 5 speed", it is either a Muncie 4 speed or a Tremec/Borg Warner five speed.

Thanks

Underhood or under side shots help a lot. If it's a square tube frame not a Contemporary (CCX).
A lot of the body features, interior and Compomotive wheels look very CCXish.

What Bill said. Wheel well openings sure look like naf. Under hood pics could tell more.

Could it be an Everett-Morrison? Didn't they come with a choice of round or square tube chassis?

Yes, and no, think of it as combination of the two

My Midstates has the same door hinges.
Also the the trans tunnel is similar in shape to mine with a slight kick out in the passenger side.

Another strange trait is that this car has 3 windshield wipers...2 in traditional place and then one in the middle. Have not seen that before.

Also has a heater defroster...nice chrome defroster slots in the dash.

The fuse block is in a strange spot, tucked just under the middle of the dash, very visible...

Thanks all for comments.

What do you think a value would be on this....28000 miles...

Mike

EM has the flat rims, that car shows a much deeper dish. I haven't seen a square tube EM.
Midstates was a direct copy of Contemporary and will share almost all major features.

The triple wipers might be a good clue for somebody. The AC Mk IV - which this clearly isn't - used them as did some British replicas like the AK 427. I can't think offhand of any US made Cobras that had them though. Definitely not an E-M - especially if it has a rectangular tube frame. Shape of the inside upper part of the doors indicate it's probably not a Unique either. More photos of the frame, underhood area and suspension would be a big help.

EDIT: Hard to tell from the pics, but is the radiator upright or tilted back at the top?
