Default WTB : .765 XKE Torsion bars

I’ve checked around and even though they are listed on sites they are not available. These are stock torsion bars from a 4.2 xke 1962-70 part number 8525 and .765 diameter. If anyone has a pair please PM me

Default Terrys

Terry’s is on back order as well as all other vendors as I had mentioned. I appreciate the help but it is a 3-10 wk wait for new ones. that’s why I’m asking if anyone has a set.

Salt,

Found some used ones on eBay here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/30315453248...0AAOSwV5lc2vy4

Not sure how to decide whether they are the correct diameter, the correct part number (there are probably some variations in) OD, length and maybe spline type? And more importantly, whether they are safe...

Salt shaker, are you still looking for torsion bars? I have a set of series 3 torsion bars that are .850"diameter that I'm willing to part with. Let me know if you're still looking.

Default torsion bars

Dan, thnx for the offer. I currently have .86 in the car and very little movement in the front suspension movement. The car has Sach Supper Touring Shocks and I’m not familiar with them… My thoughts were to use a lighter torsion bar but also not sure if the problem might be the shocks. Do you remember what diameter torsion bars you had on your car?
