Default Tire Fitment and Brake change

Hello

I hope the experience on this forum can help me. I own a Contemporary and would like to ask a couple of questions.

1. Has anyone ran the Goodyear Billboard tires? If so what sizes? I have made some changes to the suspension and would explain if needed. I currently run Goodyear 235x60 and 295x50.

2. I also want to change the front rotors to a larger/wider size. I would like to find a pre-engineered kit to fit if I can. Please ask me what I have and I will do my best to explain.

I would figure these things out myself but I am really lazy and would greatly appreciate your help and expertise.

Great place to come for help! Club Cobra

I do run the Goodyears:
Sizes = http://www.rogerkrausracing.com/Cobra/
Front 26.6 x 8.0 -15
Rear 26.5 x 10.5 - 15
My rims are Vintage pin drive with 4" backspace. (I used to run STD 235x60 and 295x50)

My front end is Jaguar seriesI, depending on the year of your car you might have seriesII which are vented. I have had great luck changing my front calipers to Wilwood Dynalite 4 piston calipers. While seriesI the front discs are not vented they have made stopping 100% better than the old set up. For street use they are fantastic and all bolt on with simple tools. For track they would still be decent for short runs, vented would solve that part. Remember original Cobras did not run vented brake systems and they beat the world.

Drop me an email for more details:

Hello Jeff

Thank you for the reply and information. I would be happy to send you an email. It will come under my email address of pwortman@draftseal.com.

I do have the vented rotors on the front. MY car came with 4 piston Wilwood calipers with a 1-3/8" bore. I adapted some larger 4 piston Wilwood calipers with 1-3/4" bore. Now I am hoping to find someone or possibly a company that makes an adaptor to mount on a larger rotor. Maybe some company that makes high perfomance Jag. parts.

The tire fitment looks good on your car. Did you have any interference problems?
