FYI: Last week's eBay auction, the car was listed for $55,000 or Make Offer. It did not sell.

I've got a Contemporary, and I can tell you first hand, they're awesome cars, one of the nicer ones out there. But really, $130,000 invested in a Contemporary? This guy either doesn't know how to count, or he's really not too bright. I don't think I could spend $130K on a Contemporary if I tried. I can just see this guys thought process........"lets see, I have $130K to spend, do I want an aluminum Shelby, an aluminum Kirkham, or a really nice Contemporary that if I am really lucky I can sell one day for $58K."
Some of the claims these guys make crack me up. I love the Contemporary's, they may very well be the most little known, under appreciated cars out there, but $130K? That's downright funny.

You have to read carefully; it only says " Over $130,000 invested." it doesn't say that the investment was in the car itself.

Last time I heard about the car it was at autosport in NY
http://www.autosportdesigns.com/
Maybe it was a consignment car, but it was my understanding it was Tom P's personal car.

It's a beautiful car, Bill, don't get me wrong. But you've been in this game longer than me and you know Contemporary's - how in the world do you get $130K into a Contemporary? I couldn't do it if I tried.
Who is Tom P., by the way?

Geez, I just clicked on the link and see this place is about 15 minutes from my home. Looks like I won't be so bored this weekend after all!

ebay car
I'm leaving out in the morning to check this car out in ny. I have an agreed upon price with the seller if the car turns out to be as described. He does have reciepts that he has faxed to me in excess of 78,00.00. One issue i would like a comment on is the fact that it has a t-10 tranny. I thought that was a borg-warner and i thought most contemporary's have top loaders? The guy spent 28,000.00 for the 427 s/o in 1996. If i buy the car i will be selling the contemporary i currently own , the 23 bucket t i own, or the 1909 model t speedster i own. Anyway something will have to go. My contemporary is a really nice 8,000 mile car with a 351 cleveland at around 4oo hp. It's midnite blue with silver stripes and a wine interior. It's a factory made car. I'm in the 34,000.00 price range and firm there. ..allsnakes
