She's a cutie. I would price it at the upper end of your range, but include "Price Negotiable." You've got some good stuff on it and it's titled right.

They're adorable when they're that age... but eventually they become teenagers.

ccx for sale

In his description he states 2nd generation front suspension, does anyone have photos or specs for this 2nd design? I know I have series one front spindles and when the car is on the alignment rack the tie rods are pointing upwards (bump steer).

Where did you get your billet control arms for the front and rear? Thank you

mrmustang 09-20-2009 07:03 PM

That car is truly stunning. Wish you the best of luck with your sale.

Keith, did you sell your car yet? I own ccx 33953 and always wondered how close mine was to the end of the run. I also own # 3130 which was invoiced in june of 85. I have it for sale and was looking for a later model...jim

Now, we know Patrick's weakness. Cute kids. Whenever we post on any thread, just include a pic of a cute child with your post and we'll never hear another bad word about FFR's, CSX's, BDR's, KMP's, etc. or anything. That would be a scary thought.

In this economy before 12/31/09, with the Holidays coming, I would price it at $49,995. If you can wait until Spring, then I would start with the higher price. However, I know I'll be in the minority. :p

Yes, i've been slacking. Real Estate has been crazy lately. I'm closing 14 houses just this month... So i'm still meaning to get it up on Cobracountry

Ok... Seriously this time! I'ts going up on Cobra country tomorrow. I have someone in Cananda that is interested but low offers. So ya'll think like $48,500 would move it quick ? It's titled 1966 Ford Convertible

That is a steal at $48,500 if I had a buyer for my ERA, your car would be mine. Wish you the best of luck with the sale.

Just adding my two cents on this Cobra.....

I am in no way related to this sale or seller....

My 289 was being built at the same time as this 427SC car was being assembled at Burtis.

I saw the quality of this build, the extra time/effort/dollars to build this beast.

I have driven this car, it pulls w/ boatloads of torque and the Alcon brakes will stop a bus. The Tunnel Port combined with the Richmond Gear tranny is unbelievable! This car is pretty much bullet proof!

There is close to $80K in this build in 1997 dollars.

Somebody buy it! if I had the cash (or if the timing was better) I certainly would!

neverwouldof 02-25-2010 08:08 PM

Thanks John, I really hate to get rid of her but she just sits there looking at me when i pass by to go to work every morning. It's kinda depressing knowing she just wants to open up her lungs and scream...

Enjoy your new BDR, it's a nice car..........However, if you have never been in a big block powered Contemporary you don't know what you are missing ;). You can have all the power in the world with your little rousch stroker, but it is nothing like a big block :p

Ha... that makes me think. One day when I was like 17, at a car show on the Colchester, CT green, there was this red ERA. Big block, no exhaust quieting. He started it to go home, the ground shook, and I said I have to buy a cobra.

I'll enjoy my BDR stroker... I enjoy curves more than straightline... but it leaves me wondering what it sounds like without the exhaust traps quieting it!
