Kirkham, Superformance, both are awesome, Kirkham is aluminum and the superformance is fiberglass and built like a Mercedes...

Just my opinion but there isn't going to be much that's any good in the $30K range for a coupe. There isn't much in the roadster range for $30K and there's many many more to choose from.

Awesome if you want to put one together, the chassis is top notch and many of them have been sold, if you have access to parts, you may be able to do it on a smaller budget if you can do all the labor yourself...

I would say you could use an SPF daily but I don't have much experience with one. (only ridden in one once)
What you should do is get with your local group, club, whatever and see if anyone has a coupe you can talk to. Getting in/out of one (non SPF) is not for everyone. The door is small, the roof is in the way and there's a wide sill to crawl over. But get with someone close to you who has one and get to know the little things like that before you pull the trigger.

Yes, all day long, if you can handle the power on a day to day basis, if you are able to get a SPF, it is going to be close to 6 figures, but it does have AC, it is manual of course so in town driving as long as your cammed right it would be a dream to drive, go on youtube to Jay Leno garage and watch the Superfromance Daytona coupe video...

I don't think there is any chance of finding a Superformance coupe for 30K. SPF turned over them to Shelby for the CSX9000 series, but even before that they were 80-90K for just a roller.

We can all drool over a Kirkham coupe but an alloy body Kirkham is way out of 30K. Like 6x.

I would suggest to the original poster that he look at the coupe portion of Cobra Country to get an idea on what the market is for them.

P.S. Every once in a while a used Shell Valley coupe will show up.

From what I've seen, the cheapest decent Cobra Roadster would cost around $30,000. (Factory Five).

And the cheapest decent Cobra Daytona Coupe would cost around $50,000. (Factory Five)

The Factory Five cars are always more affordable because they are hand built and someone working in a garage at home cannot really count their own labor as value because of the uncertainty and lack of customer support / service available once the car is sold. A factory-built car has a more refined, repeatable, and defined build process and finished product, thus higher re-sale value.

Yeah, you'd be hard pressed to find even a roadster for $30k. A Factory Five may turn up in that range, but plan on doing lots of assembly yourself. SPF might be best for a comfort and around town kind of coupe. Hope something turns up for you!

For 30K, you may get (as everyone else said) a nice driver FFR. In fact on BaT last week a FFR sold there for 28.5K , just down the road from me, 302EFI, T-5, with miles on it. A nice starter car, for that money. To buy a Cobra or Daytona, I believe you have to be committed (you can take that either way) to these kind of cars. They are NOT just hop in and drive (Like a Tesla Roadster), as we well know. Just saying. Tom.
