Daytona Coupe Crash

The famous Australian road racer Peter Brock (not our Peter Brock) was killed on Friday at a road rally in Perth Australia. In reading the article it showed a silver Daytona Coupe that the article labeled a replica. Does anyone know if it was a Superformance and if so what happened?
