Default #21 at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction!

Superformance Brock Daytona Cobra Coupe #21 will be sold at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach, Florida auction, at the South Florida Expo Center, on Friday, March 30, as lot #388, NO RESERVE.

See the details on #21, perhaps the most widely known of all the Daytona Coupes, at:

Exclamation

So why is this the "most widely known" SPF Coupe?

Best of luck - I'd be interested in the results.

I would think that title would belong to Dennis Olthoff's Coupe. That's the one I think of when I think of the SPF Coupe. He drives the wheels off that thing.

$79,000 includes 10% buyers premium as my auction note state the car sold for $72,000 (I bid it up past 65K ) meaning the owner cleared $64,800 after buyers premium but not including the initial listing and auction fees. When I saw the car this morning, the "sold" sign was half torn off the cars windshield, along with the cars information sheet and auction number. Makes me wonder whether the new owner just wanted it off quickly before it had time to bake in the sun (even though the car was under the tent), or if the seller was a little pissed at the price that he got for the car. We may never know

edit: If you notice the sellers web site is now down as well.

thanks for on site feed back bill . i also tried to view his website yesterday and found it down. I wanted to re read his pre auction hype . my guess is he took a bath on this car, especially compared to the hype on his site .

the old saying 'buyer beware' takes on another twist at a a NO RESERVE auction, as in : 'seller beware' . no reserve auctions will not be a winner for all folks, seems this car was well bought and seller lost .

sellers remorse at a nr auction and low ball sale price would prompt many to tear up the sale info sheet and sold sheet in disgust . seller beware !

yes , as you say- we will never know . bill

I don't think the car was worth more than what it sold for. I believe it competed in one lap races, right?
