Is there a way to contact David Kee ??? I have a problem with my transmission and I have been desperately trying to contact David Kee (several emails, phone calls, messages on the answering machine... since nobody seems to pick up the phone !). I live in France. Do you know if they all left on holidays ? If the company still exists ? Is there a "secret" phone number I do not have ??? If somebody could help me to contact them I would be very grateful ! See below the explanation of the problem I m having with my Kirkham : http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/tran...leak-help.html Thanks Emmanuel |

David Kee is not the only one that works on Toploaders.... ;) I'm a McLeod dealer and I can get whatever parts you need for your hydraulic throw out bearing. Do you have any part numbers? |
|
Unfortunately no and that is my problem. I know exactly what the problem is, but because I do not have the part numbers I need advice before I can order. Can you give me your phone number !? Thanks for your help. |

What advice do you need? I have a feeling that your french accent and my Kentucky redneck accent probably won't be too compatible. ;) If you need parts for the hydraulic bearing that you have, I know which McLeod bearing you probably have. It's a bolt on hydraulic bearing, correct? |

Since you have a Kirkham car, how about using a regular clutch fork, throw out bearing, and hydraulic slave cylinder? I never recommend hydraulic bearings to anyone...and you're experiencing the reason why. In the long run, it would be much cheaper to switch. |

I agree with you 1000% !!! I have been trying to understand what I exactly need for more than 10 days. It's very important what I need so has not to forget anything (seals, screws, bolts, fork, slave cylinder, centerforce (?)... etc). Did you see my post ? http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/tran...leak-help.html In case you need it, my bellhousing (to fix the fork I suppose) is a Lakewood blowproof bellhousing. |

The only slave cylinder that I have to work with a Toploader and a Lakewood bellhousing is a Wilwood slave cylinder. Unfortunately, you would have to fabricate your own bracket. Otherwise, the parts are readily available and ready to ship. As an example, you would need: (1) MCL-16915 - T-Bracket - $38 (1) MCL-16935 - Clutch Fork- $62 (1) MCL-16042 - Throw Out Bearing - $65 (1) Wilwood Slave Cylinder - $80 If you wanted to try to get parts for your current hydraulic bearing, I'm pretty sure it's part number MCL-1305. If so, there are replacement parts available: McLeod Racing - Replacement Parts for 1300 & 1400 Series Bearings If you knew exactly what you needed and wanted to go this route, you could email me with the part numbers, I could get you pricing, and then send the parts to you. |

You are right Patrick....I think the Kirkhams do have their own slave cylinder/bracket kit. You are also right about HTOB's being less than desired. The regular clutch fork method is much cheaper and much easier to work on. |
