Rick, Your car did NOT show up. The big block winner was Denton with lots of experince. Why he hooked up so well we don't know, but he was almost a second ahead of a medium block and 3 seconds ahead of Michelle (and Lou beat her with her car). So there you go, big block, medium and then small block follewed by my big block. It was 122 degrees on the track & tires/pressure was a big thing I guess.

ONCE AGAIN, A BIG BLOCK WAS NOT THE WINNER AT COBRAFEST!! I LIKE THEM TOO, BUT YEAR AFTER YEAR, THE RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. WHY NOT BRING THE COBRAS OUT TO THE WOERHIDE BASH AT ROEBLING?? HAVING DRIVEN THAT TRACK HUNDREDS OF LAPS I KNOW THAT YOU GUYS WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME AND ITS A SAFE TRACK TO GO AS FAST OR AS SLOW AS YOU WANT. THE CARZ PEOPLE DO A GREAT JOB ON OPEN TRACK EVENTS AND IT IS A VERY CONTROLLED AND SAFE SITUATION. ALSO, SINCE ROEBLING HAS TWO LONG STRAINGTS, THE BIG BLOCKS SHOULD REALLY SHINE. I'M ONLY SHOWING UP WITH 160 HORSES IN A 3,000 POUND CAR, SO I WILL BE LOOKING AT YOU BLOWING PAST ME, BUT I STILL THINK THAT IT WILL BE FUN--BRING EM ON FELLAS! RICK |

Contrary to recent discussions, a big block car has won the Cobrafest. Both Tom Davis and I have won and each time setting a track record for Cobras. (66 seconds old course layout)
