REPTILE ROUNDUP

WHAT

A gathering of Florida Cobra’s owners and Cobra enthusiasts.
It is an opportunity to get to know your local Snake owners, discuss general “Cobra” topics, gather ideas for future events, show off your beautiful cars and have lots of fun.

We are expecting 55+ Cobra's, Come join the fun!
T-shirts will be available for purchase.

WHEN
November 15th, 16th, 17th, 2002.

Friday night we are meeting for dinner at Outback Steakhouse.
I-75 and Hwy 54 (Exit 279) 6:30 pm.
Please call (813) 792-2414 if you plan on attending dinner so we can add to the reservations list.
Outback is next to the hotels.

WHERE
Car show to be held at Beef O’ Brady’s pub. 9:30 am to 3:30 pm Saturday 11/16.
21539 Village Lakes Shopping Center. Lutz, FL. (Saturday).
POKER RUN Through Historic San antonio / Dade City.
$5.00 entry. 3:30 Saturday after car show.
Staging area coffee and refreshments for all “early arrivals” will be located at the new home of “Engineer Ed”.
Drag racing @ Lakeland Motorsports Park (Friday night).
SCCA Solo II Auto-X Cancelled due to lack of insurance.
We are going Indi car and Go-cart racing at Malibu Raceway to see who the best drivers are. (Sunday).
Hotels located in Wesley Chapel (Hwy 54 and I-75).
Food on Saturday will be available at Beef O’ Brady’s pub.
Sodas and other drinks will be available for purchase with funds benefiting the DSCC.

WHO
This event is open to all Cobra owners, family, friends, and Cobra enthusiasts.
Door prizes from Cobra Accessories /Factory Five racing, Advance Auto Parts and host will be presented.
Blue Oval Corral will be present to purchase performance parts, Mac Tools and other local vendors will also be in attendance.

***The event will be attended and photographed by Cruising Style magazine. An article will be entered into their National Magazine. Here is your chance to be famous!

DYNO
Wondering how much power you have???
A mobile dyno is being reserved for this event. For a small fee of $50.00, each car signed up will be given 2 pulls. For an additional $10.00, a wide-band O2 sensor will be connected for tuning purposes between pulls. If you wish to participate in the dyno, please contact me at: edward.kamptner@med.ge.com or phone the numbers listed above.

Prizes for who has the most HP in stock 302, modified 302, 351, big block, etc...

Poker Run
3:30 pm Saturday. A cruise through the Historic Dade City / San Antonio area.
Entry into the Poker run is $5.00. Driver with best poker hand at finish wins entire Poker Run pot. Route ends at a restraunt for dinner.

DRAG RACE / Optional / Friday night
For those wishing to run the 1/8 mile, Lakeland Motorsports park is a 45 minute drive to our East. 6-10:30 pm Test and Tune. Admission $8.00. Test and Tune card $5.00
Must have helmet if you run 1/8 mile under 9.9 sec.

Please come welcome us into our new home. Snacks and drinks are being Catered. Join us for coffee and desert after the days activities.

From I-75, get off at Hwy 56 (Exit 275) and head West.
Highway 56 is new and may not show up on your maps.
Hwy 56 to Hwy 54.
West on Hwy 54 until you come to Village Lakes Shopping Center. Look for big radio antenna.
Beef O’ Brady’s on the right next to Walmart and other stores.
The Sheriffs office is just up the road so please drive safely.

You mentioned becoming famous because Cruising Style magazine will be there, hell I'm already famous. I had an article in Cruising Style on the clubs very first meeting held in Jacksonville, Fl. Can we put together some info for people who actually don't have a computer. I have to admit if they show I have a couple coming to Cobra Bash this weekend. We should have some more input on your gathering when we get together on Saturday. Ed I've marked my calendar.

It's DeanE BoothE.:LOL: Maybe we could run up and help him unload from his recent move so that he can attend your party. I'm glad you only listed me and not the wife because she is scheduled to work that weekend in November, and she must continue so I can play with my toys and go to Cobra parties. I might bring my brother David who was at my Bash. See you in November.

Congrats to you and Renee on the new homestead! If I'm still driving my FIA, I'll be there Saturday for sure...love those Brady's Wings and Poker Run! Did you catch the thread that I drove my car to Atlanta last weekend to visit a friend? Not a drop of rain coming or going...talk about being watched over. Anyway I took a friend with me and we had a BALL. The car ran like it was right off the showroom floor, with that 351w not skipping a beat. Anyway, I'm considering doing it again...but driving to Lutz seems like a slamdunk! Will keep you advised.

How can I expect guys to show up from across the state, when the guys in my back yard aren't coming?

I've got to call Steven Halbook, Ron Robinson and other locals to make sure they are coming.

I'll be placing phone calls and sending out flyers shortly.
It's going to be great!

I'm going to recruit you for the Jacksonville area if that is OK.
If you could please call the other Cobra guys in your area and ask to see if they will be attending.
You guys can get a convoy started from the Jacksonville area.
If you do not have a copy of the DSCC contact list, please let me know.
I can e-mail you a copy of it for your records.
I'm trying to eliminate a few phone calls from my end.
