John,
Digging up this original thread and comparing it with the stickeys that we are running now for input is why I'm so irritated with the final out come at Silver Springs. A week before the gathering I only had 37 for Saturdays lunch, no ware near the 50 needed. I got Silver Springs to go with 40 as the minimum for the luncheon so that everything didn't have to be canceled. The Thursday before because of people who were procrastinating from day one were jumping on the band wagon and I ordered the original lunch of 50. We actually had 50 when Reg Dodd bought the last 2 tickets for lunch while at the park. Thank you again Reg Dodd. I'm really glad that we brought all of this back to the forum rather than taking a vote with the members in attendance at Silver Springs. The poll that Jim posted has 16 votes which were recorded since Monday with no further input. The only cost to the club for Silver Springs was the purchase of 100(minimum purchase) dash plaques for the event, at a cost of $2.20 a piece. If you want one send a check for $5.00 each plus a self addressed stamped envelope so all Ruble has to do is put in the dash plaque and mail it back to you. Dan |
On this thread there are only a few people that wnated to go top Silver Hair Sprins, as we call it in Miami. That you got 50 is a great accomplishment and you should give your self a big pat on the back.
On that poll of reasons not to attend, you need one that says "Not interesteed in Going to Silver Springs", and I bet it would get a lot of votes. Dan don't take it personal , unless you own Silver Springs ! It was a gamble to have the event at a place that was not met with enthusiasm to start with, and I think you did great getting 50 folks, now lets move on before we start to sound like were griping. |
Ruble bring those dash plackes to Savannah aand we'll sell every one, every single one, and for big bucfks to. I have an idea. They say "Silver Springs" ont hem right?
Dan why arent you coming to Savannah ? We need your presents ! |
Spyderman - I feel compelled to ask you a question. Are you intentionally trying to appear as an idiot, or does it come naturally? You contribute nothing with your posts, and you are not even funny. You must have a lot of time to waste. I don't really mean to offend you, but that needed to be said.

Todd,
I put this together from one of the threads that was posted by Ed Kamptner, you might find it interesting. * (Not in attendance at Silver Springs) (I need your support- actual response to post so far) Ed Kamptner-Engineer Ed, President Mike Iodice- Mike I * ????? - CobramanDave Augusta Ga. NOT member? * Keith McFarland- excelguru, Vice Presidfent * Mike Geng- Toycollector * Jerry Rowley, past President Armando Lopez- Dr_Lopez CobraDoc * Jerry Cowing Jim Pomroy- Gatorac * Dave Crace *(Un) Friendly Comic- Spyderman NOT member, Not a member * Randy ???- Georgia Snake Atlanta NOT member? Dan Wulff- past Vice President, past President Maybe we should have taken the vote at Silver Springs instead of wasting our time using the forum. I know Spyderman was not at Silver Springs. Dan |
Dan, your last post means what? You lost me there.

Mike,
When we were having our meeting last weekend everyone thought it had to go back to the forum where we could hear from more of the 345 members our our club. So far I feel that having 3 people commenting that don't even belong to our club and of course there is the ever popular Spyderman who should be off making movies. I know that you have made some valid points and so have few others but over all it's as bad as the attendance was for our annual meeting. I really don't have to worry or care and longer and I hope you get behind Ed Kamptner(Engineer Ed) the new President. Dan |
Dan
Sorry but two things kept me from making it, actually three. 500 miles, no trailer and mothers day. Mothers day being the key. I have a wife with a mother..... there was no discusion. She lets me play and I getaway with alot, multiple fishing trips, hunting etc so its the least I could do. Plus the old bird is a pretty good sort. |
Alex,
Would have Fathers Day been better??????? I already told Ed not to pick any Holidays but that doesn't leave many weekends open. Dan |
Dan
That would probably work all ours are dead except Deb's great grand dad who is 98. Part of the problem is I've been out of the country the last two months more than I've been in. Hey I got an automatic extension for filling taxes  |
Alex,
You guys in Atlanta are hard to please first you say you won't travel 500 miles and it's only 364 miles. If I had a SPF with one of those Southern Automotive Engines I would sell my Trailer. You know if I inform Bill that you are not driving your Cobra because the trip is over 500 miles he will be taking your Cobra away from you. The only thing I can say about mothers day is your wife was suppose to bring her mom to Silver Springs, she and her mother would have liked it as did all the other women that did come. Actually if I did it again next year at Silver Springs the ladies said all us guys could stay home. Plus Jim and I had a couple of flowers left over to pass out. Dan Wulff |
