excelguru 12-03-2002 02:13 PM

Currently laid off which allows for rides in the middle of a Tuesday. I suppose that's one of the few benefits of being laid off... very few...

Go, warm front, go!

Keith :)

GeorgiaSnake 12-03-2002 05:35 PM

From what I hear Keith doesn't rake his leaves - he needs them to cover the dirt :3DSMILE:

You guys keep jumping in and your get togethers will be as big or bigger than the Atlanta group.

excelguru 12-03-2002 07:09 PM

LOL! Yea, that's one advantage of having no grass. Now they're calling for 56 on Saturday... let's face it, these guys are guessing.

Keith :)

creamsicle 12-04-2002 09:33 AM

After a hint from Creamsicle I just saw this post. The weather now calls for 50s and sun. That's good enough weather for me!

John Paul's Steak House (which is actually called Paul John's Armadillo Oil Company of Columbia, by the way) is not open for lunch on Saturdays. Does anyone have another suggestion? I'll do a search for Outbacks in the area (arrrg... they're not open for lunch, either).

Keith :)

excelguru 12-05-2002 12:51 PM

How about...

California Dreamin' located in downtown Columbia?

MAP

Phone number: 803-254-6767
(The phone number listed in the link above is not correct.)

They open at 11:00 AM on Saturday. We could meet there at that time for lunch. Whaddya think?

Keith :)

creamsicle 12-05-2002 01:01 PM

hey, called my girl in columbia and she said harborson rd where the mall is has an outback and texas road house and such it is right off I-26 just north of I-20 . what do you guys think? about 12:30 after the lunch crowd and time enough for the day to warm up a little. open to any other suggestions. rick

Hey fellas, I live in Chicago but have a place in Hilton Head SC......any chance of becoming a duel Cobra Club member (Windy City CC & SCCC??). I plan to trailer my car down in March to have some fun with my buddies down there. Any gatherings in March?

excelguru 12-05-2002 01:55 PM

Rick - Outback doesn't open until 4:00 PM on Saturdays  . Not sure about TX Road House... I'll call them and see. They're both located on Two Notch Road (also called Hwy 1). It would be much easier to find than California Dreamin', I must admit.

Terry - By all means!! Keep an eye on this site when March approaches. I'd love to have more gatherings here in the spring and summer.

Keith :)

excelguru 12-05-2002 02:02 PM

Texas Roadhouse opens at 10:30 on Saturday, so meeting at 11:00 would be no problem. Here's the info for the Roadhouse located on Two Notch Road...

MAP & INFO for Two Notch Road location

The one located just off I-26 is precariously close to Columbiana Mall. Traffic in that area is a real pain during the non-shopping season. At this time of year, the traffic is rediculous in that area. But it is closer to other folks, so I'll hapilly go to either one...

MAP & INFO for Columbiana Mall location

Once we decide on a final locale, I'll lock this thread down and create a new thread to keep everyone from having to wade through all this info.

allright keith; just got off the phone with my guys, got four coming all ffr's but what the heck. ok how about the mall parking lot near main entrance at 12:30 ? then it's off to what ever, one of my guys says there is a real nice itilian resturant called zorbas that is resonable and close to mall he has been there. it takes us 1;30 min to get to columbia from up here so at least it will be warmer. have not heard from the agusta group what have you heard from them. if this plan works for you i will call my guys again on fri to firm it up. i am here let me know rick:D

creamsicle 12-05-2002 07:25 PM

ok reread your last post i guess we could leave at 10am get there at 1130 and try to beat the big crowd, yea i guess that area gets pretty crowded at this time of the yeay just trying to give everbody a large spot to meet at i think everone could find the mall right off I-26.don't worry we will work it out ha ha ha . rick:D

MCathcart 12-06-2002 07:37 AM

I got the call from Rick last night. After he insulted my car and me, he asked if I could meet up with you guys. :JEKYLHYDE

I have a really nice BMW heated vest. I've told the "midget" he could wear it, so looks like I'm in (and the "Pussmobile has a HEATER")!

Hey, it's been a rough year for me... so other than continued to be call a "Puss and Wimp with a Blue and White car that don't run" I have to be there!

excelguru 12-06-2002 07:46 AM

The mall at 11:30 it is! I will start a new thread with all the necessary info (and ONLY the necessary info :D ).

I've closed this thread. Please see the other thread!

Keith :)
