Southern Births Another One

:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:
Tomorrow Friday Jan 17, 2003 10:30 AM Lewis will allow my new stoker to breath for the first time ever. I feel like a 7 year old on Christmas eve. :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:
YEEEEEEEEEEE GAAAAAAAAAAADS I can't wait to hear the thing hit a lick:MECOOL: :3DSMILE:

Randy

Can you tell I'm excited - Jeeze it's 4:30 AM and I'm typing a post.

Dave Crace 01-16-2003 05:41 AM

Ga Snake,
Hey congrats, I assume you will be there with video to capture the moment :D

PSB 01-16-2003 06:58 AM

Congrats! I got mine fired up for the first time last month - it was great! Make sure you get video!

Sweeeet...

I remember the first time my engine drew breath. Susan called me on my mobile and let me hear it over the phone. It was totally cool. It was so loud you could hardly discern anything, but that was okay with me.

Keith :)

:D :D MAN, DO I KNOW THE FEELING :D :D
Last Friday was my day for the dyno for my all alum. 427. I was so so excited all day just waiting for the results, nothing else seem to matter.
Bottom line: 533HP and 534lb/ft of torque at 5600 RPM.
502 HP @ 6500 RPM max rpm.:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:
Now if I can only figure out which tires to put on the rear to put all these ponies to the road.
Hope you are as happy with your results as I am with mine.
 TL

CONGRATS!!!! I'd love to drive down there to observe the baptism, but will be flying to TX. Take pictures and video!!!

ToyCollector 01-16-2003 12:22 PM

Smallblock Videotip: If you take a video, hold that microphone up real close so we can hear it.

Just kidding, congrats Randy. ;)

patrija 01-16-2003 01:01 PM

For that small block, you might make sure you also have a 10x optical zoom so we can see it clearly.

GeorgiaSnake 01-17-2003 01:08 PM

For those of you that are curious my little block really goes

Varooooom - Varooooom puck ki ta - puck ki ta - Varooom - puck ki ta - puck ki ta

Pictures and possibly a sound bite later :3DSMILE:

TC, yep, I figured Susan and Bill might actually never see it. I know if someone brought me a bottle while I was on vacation there would be alot of blank stares and 'uh, what bottle?' around my office when I got back. Perfect..... :JEKYLHYDE I am heading down next week to hear mine fire up. Definitely an exciting time. (and my serial number is still lower) :p

I told Randy to leave a message on my voicmail with the engine runnning in the background and I would post the message as a wav file....and now, through the miracles of modern technology, is the wav file I made from Randy's voicemail>>>(zipped)

GeorgiaSnake 01-17-2003 04:03 PM

LMAO

You got me good you goober:3DSMILE: That's too damn funny - I'll get your butt :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

I would have recorded yours but the sound of the stroker crank hitting the side of the block was too much %/

I did look at your heads - why did you get those tiny little 7/8" intake valves? High RPM **)

Still LMAO

Carroll DeWeese 01-17-2003 04:07 PM

It has to be a great feeling. My wife and I can not wait to "fire her up" (the Cobra that is).

GeorgiaSnake 01-17-2003 04:28 PM

I'll post a picture of my weed eater motor if someone can tell me how to beat the file size problem.

Chill I'm gonna get your arse

chill 01-17-2003 06:49 PM

   Ok, I owe you one, so here are the pics you sent me of your engine:
