12 Hours of Sebring Turn 1 Cobra Corral

The DSCC has secured the Turn 1 club for the 12 Hours of Sebring. This is the biggest sports car race in America and we have the best spot to see it. We have the same packages available as the other car corrals, we just have a better corral.

The Turn 1 area is a secure spot with security at the gate. No one gets in without a Turn 1 pass on their ticket. We have about 75' of track frontage right at the exit of Turn 1. The fence is about 10' off of the track. You can see all the way down to turn 3. Video monitors and shade will be provided. Last year Ben Devlin put the BP Mazda P2 prototype into the tire wall right in front of us.

Tickets must be ordered early so we can send in the all the money to Sebring. They will then send the tickets back for the club to distribute. As of today we have one RV spot still available. Contact me if you are interested. There is ample spots for tent camping too.

Ticket packages are available on the DSCC's new site. DSCC Store You will need to join the club for a mere $10 to order tickets. Still the best value going.

Several of us will be showing up Wednesday afternoon to begin the festivities.:3DSMILE:

If you have an questions, just emal or PM me.

I'm working on my "FUN COUPONS" which means washing windows, floors, running the vacuum, doing the dishes, making the bed, helping with dinner (where did I put my apron), just so I can get to go.
Next thing Carol's going want me to do is wash the car and check the air in the tires
Checking into seeing if one of my NC buddies will be down with his RV - do we need to do anything special for bringing it into the corral?

Terry,
What ever you do don’t wash your cobra it will be just one large ball of ice even if it needs to be waxed wait until the weather changes, hell it is even cold here in Florida.

I went to this last year on Saturday at the Turn 1 spot and it was awesome. This year I am going for several days. If you've ever been to the Rolex 24 race in Daytona this makes that seem boring. The vantage points and racing are so much better, the cars are better, our spot is the best... on and on.

AWESOME event and worth every dollar you spend on the ticket.

Dan,
I'm in Fla. for the winter, I thought you knew, I'm not stupid enough to freeze my but off up in NC this yime of the year. However, I left the Cobra and trailer up there, and now with all the talk of Sebring, and the HSR going on at the old Moroso Track this weekend, I'm retinking that decision.:JEKYLHYDE
I'm still working on my "Fun Coupons" though.

Terry,
Even in Florida I had frost on my pumpkins’ in the last few weeks, no washing of any cars with water until the weather changes.

terry lee 02-09-2009 11:36 AM

According to the latest news, Peugeot will be there with 2 of their 908 diesel powered P1 coupes. These cars a beautiful, and fast. They have been the fastest qualifier at both Sebring and Le Mans but they have not been quite reliable enough.

It should be cool to see Audi's new R15, Acura's brand new P1 car go head to head with the Peugeot.

This truley is the biggest sports car race in America. The ALMS is the only series that the European teams come over to race against us. Running at Sebring is one of the ways to get an invite to the 24 hours of Le Mans.
