11:00 AM, Mrs DV and I were on our way to NBC Ch 4 with Jenny's car for a live interview on the noon news. Just as we pulled out, who was to come at us head on, but our very own "GASHOLES" from Califonia'! Of course they made some kind of illegal U-turn and chased us down, then followed us all the way to the station!
Right after the live interview as over, our man HAMO, I mean Jamo convinced one of Columbus' finest news anchors, Mike Jackson, to take a ride
Not sure of the count, but we had about 8 Cobras lined up in a semicircle in the grass with Jenny's car in the middle. Nice shot! Well, Mike Jackson, a "big guy" in more ways than one, certainly had the "Cobra glaze" in his eye, just kept walking back and forth, back and forth.
Jamo, knowing full well that the man was dying for a ride, pounced! With Mr. Jackson firmly belted in, Jamo pulled out on a fairly busy 4-lane hi-way and of course "opened her up" a little. Just for safety's sake mind you.
Two things happened, the camera man was still shooting some footage, heard the ear splitting roar from that little car and spun around, aiming the camera at our hero and his rider. About 1/3 throttle Mr. Jackson threw both hands in the air in a "roller coaster fashion." Problem was, Jamo was going for full 2/3's throttle! Mr. Jackson, now realizing he hadn't even had a half-bite of full throttle, grabbed for the dash! ALL CAUGHT ON TAPE!
One, no, I think it was two U-turns later, Jamo pulled back into NBC's parking lot. It was extremely noticeable that Mr. Jackson, the cool, debonair, professional Jackson, was more than...shall we say impressed. He simply got out, smiled politely, making smiley faces and sort of mumbled a couple of sentences as he weebeled and wobbeled back into the studio.
No one is exactly sure what he said, but I swear it was,
"I've gotta get me one of those!"
Day ONE has now officially started! Off to OSU.
DV -- OH YA! It is Cookie day!
