Are you going to cancel the Double Venom held in the summer in London, OH? Or are you not sure at this point. It is VERY hard to find information on your site about any of these upcoming events except to look in the forum. Thanks. Di

other threads said MAY 1st will be the decision GO/NO GO date relative to DVSF being in London/Columbus. The go/no go is based on whether or not the Columbus sniper is apprehended by then. If he/she/they are still on the loose as of May 1st, then two alternate locations away from Columbus are still being considered . hope this helps. Bill

NO one is trying to throw this together in a few days...no one. MAy 1st was choosen for more reasons than I can go into. Everything is in place or will be, with more than ample time.

For those that will come, the May 1 date should mean nothing to you except what hotel to call.

There are so many things surrounding this event that I CAN NOT and WILL NOT go into on a public forum.


Mike, I hope you feel at least a little bit better, and I hope you will just trust in what we are doing.

My only concern is that if the fling is XLD May 1st we may not be able to put it together, for this year. As you know-- this takes a lot of work and a great deal of effort-- I'm commited to being in Columbus or where ever it's held--

This ass has not fired on anyone for awhile. If he doesn't start shooting cars again -- we cancel-- but who in their right mind would want him to start shooting--

I will set back and trust those who need to make the decisions and hope for the best---

Thanks much for your answer. I'll keep watch here to see what unfolds for London/Columbus.

DV some time ago anounced that the Fling is on. The only twist is where. Here in London/Columbus or in the Cleveland area. Jack May really stepped up to bat and was able to do an amazing amount of planning for the Cleveland area in a very short period of time. Personally I think the May 1 date on where the Fling is going to be is plenty of time for the participants. Organizers....... well, it will be tough! I am just happy that it is going on although I will admit that the waiting is difficult with all the anticipation.

I am really excited to hear what the plan "3" is!

So the date of the fling is approx the third weekend in June then? Just where is the question. Cleveland sounds fine also if necessary. Understand the concern about the shooter. Thanks.

June 25-27. Of course you will want to come in the day before. I will take June 24-28 for the Fling.

I saw last night on the news that they have identified the person they feel is the shooter. They had his face, car and lience plate all over the news. It appears they are pretty confident that this is the guy. Well now they know who they are looking for all they have to do is find him. Lets all pray they catch him and the Spring Fling can go on as normal in London where it was born.

Here's to wishing the police good luck in getting this guy. It would be a shame to let a knucklehead like him put a damper on such an enjoyable and charitable event as DVSF.
