Time to Register!!!!!!

Ok Boys and Girls, the DVSF IV web site is now active.

http://www.dvsf.com/

Time to register.

Sincerely,

Bill S.

Thanks fella!
Yes the site is activated. Not that I was getting a little paranoid or anything, but loosing contact with our web guy for more than a week was a little harrowing. Thanks Tom!

The hotels are right, the registration is right, the raffle is right, BUT the agenda is wrong. We'll be getting it updated to let everyone know about tihs years events ASAP. I think you are going to like it ;)

DV...If you come -- you WILL come back!

Naja65 04-18-2004 11:25 AM

After clicking on Mr. Mustang's link, my browser attempts to connect to keywords.netscape.com and then aborts after "timing out".
??????????
Last year I seem to recall problems associated with http and https in the site address. Should it be https??
Thanks!! Anxiously standing by to REGISTER!
Keith

http://www.DVSF.com

Me thinks it works now! Worked all day and had over 100 e-mail notifications for registration and raffle tickets! :)

Geesh, do you really think we'll see more than 300 Cobras this year? I sure didn't think so after we had to cancel it back in the dark days! Now it appears we might even see....nah, no way.

DV...almost speechless, but not quite! IF you come--you WILL come back!

Naja65 04-19-2004 05:42 PM

As of 6:45 PM 4/19/2004, I still cannot click on your link to arrive at my favorite site!!!!
Wassup, DV?
Hey, BTW, did you get the link for some national publicity in an email sent a few weeks back?
Keith

Double Venom 04-19-2004 06:04 PM

Fella, yes I did! get the mail that is. I'm working on it, I really am. Since registration opened up and the raffle started you wouldn't believe my mail!

Naja, I don't know why you are having trouble. I have no idea what to tell you either. As far as I know of everyone is getting on? Could it be comoputer cookies? I simply don't know.
Yuck..

DV...Man is this thing moving fast! IF you come...you WILL come back! Jenny is a very (relatively) healthy young lady today, thanks in part to "our" family!

mrmustang 04-19-2004 06:13 PM

Naja65,

Do this, first clean out and delete all of your browser cookies. Next, clean out your system cache, then reboot your system. If your running an older version of Internet Explorer, or Netscape, or if you have some type of firewall software running (not anti virus, but an actual firewall), then you may have to reconfigure your system for the java scripting being used on the DV web site. Finally, since I mentioned the Java scriptin g, make sure that your drivers, along with Javas itself are enabled on your system.

Sincerely,

Bill S.

Naja65 04-19-2004 06:45 PM

Thanks, DV and Mr. Mustang.

After many attempts at "hooking up" with the site. I went ahead and did the unthinkable. . . yes, I opened up Internet Explorer (yuck), even let Netscape keep running in the background!
I am now holding a printed copy of the email receipt in my hands. Yes, I got registered!
Mr. Mustang, I'll keep all that stuff in mind when I attempt to use Netscape to go back to the DVSF site for updates and to see who else is going!!!
Thanks again!
See ya,
Keith

C'mon DV...how 'bout giving us a clue as to what's up your sleeve? :D Can't wait to get out there. Will we reach 300? Maybe...hopefully... but one thing is for sure... each and every one of them will be glad they came.

Got my ten raffle tickets just now, but did not see where to pay the $100 to register for DVSF. Did I miss a step?

Double Venom 04-21-2004 03:49 AM

I Finally figured it out! You MUST "LOGIN" to register, then a whole new menue pops up.

Wow, I finally got one.
Steve, patience grasshopper, if I knew I'd tell everyone :)
We've got everything in place and then some, but we are still waiting on those final calls. I almost dropped the big one last night-remember the "Plan B"? I thought we got it, wow what a bonus, then I re-read the e-mail....still waiting :(

DV

Edley Rondinone 04-21-2004 03:30 PM

Nope. Not working for me. I type in my name and password, and the screen goes back to the "Double Venom Raffle". I think I had the same problem last year, and just phoned in my credit card number. Could someone please e-mail me a phone number, and I could call in my credit card number. Official DVSF representatives only, please! (I know some of youse guys TOO WELL!!!)

mrmustang 04-21-2004 04:01 PM

Ed,

Clean out your browser cookies and your system cache. Reboot your computer and try again.......

Edley Rondinone 04-21-2004 07:52 PM

This is a computer at work, and I would rather not change any settings, as that may alert my work's computer analysts.....I had this same problem last year, and was able to do the entry form over the phone, with my credit card #, etc.

mrmustang 04-22-2004 04:37 AM

Ed, R.

If it's a computer at work, it may be your offices firewall that is causing the problems. Check with your IT people and let them know all you want to do is sign up, and let them reconfigure the "gateway" so that you can do so...Should not be a bother for them, as they deal with glitches like this all day long I'm sure.........

I can't seem to register either. I can successfully log-in, but everytime hit the register box, it takes me back to the log-in page.

Edley Rondinone 04-22-2004 12:46 PM

I am at work, and would rather not involve the IT people here. That would just open a can of worms as to WHY I am on the computer at work. Last year, I was able to phone someone there
and register over the phone, and that is my preferred method. I hate to be a pain in the patootie!

Edley Rondinone 04-26-2004 09:26 PM

If we let the people in charge know we are coming, can we actually register, and pay, at the Fling itself, on Thursday evening?

clayfoushee 04-26-2004 11:44 PM

I was finally able to register on-line. The problem was that I kept trying to use the site password I typed in, which didn't work. In order to register you have to use the "secret codeword" you are assigned based upon the color question you have to answer.

Edley Rondinone 04-27-2004 05:29 PM

Tried that. STILL cannot register. Can I register at the Fling itself, on Thursday, June 24th? Or can I register by phone, like I did last year? I already have my plane tickets and hotel room....
