				 DVSF IV schedule
Just wondering when the schedule for the fling will become available (on the website I'd assume)?
Trying to see what we're doing and when - my wife and I are trying to see what else we want to do while we're there (as if there are any NON-cobra events that are worth doing! ) DV: anything to suggest for 5 yr and 2 yr old boys?

All I really know of is the Saturday picnic. Not having gone to prior flings, I'm not familiar with the "normal" schedule.

 Zip Zip,
We should be posting the updated schedule this week on the web site! Sorry for the long delay, but when we cancelled in March (?) because of our sniper, we've had to start from scratch. And I mean that litterally, standing around scratching my head trying to figure out "what now!"
It is coming around though! Out side activities? IF you should attend all the events, there wont be any spare time! However, if you want to take the kids to a very special place try COSI. It's right down town Columbus, easy to get to, and they can spend all day there. I guess you could describe it as an interactive science fair for kids of all ages!

DV...This is scary...we might be catching up! |

 ZipZip,
I have to echo DV's comments on COSI. If you're looking to get away from the Fling itself with the kiddies, COSI is where it's at. I still go crazy with all the cool science stuff. It is a magical place for young impressionable folk (and older impressionable folk...)

 Columbus Ohio Science ummm...
Central Ohio Science ummm...........

Cold Outside Stand Inside......

crap. I have no idea. Here....from the COSI website....

What does COSI stand for?

COSI began as the Center Of Science and Industry. However, now COSI simply means good science and fun for all to discover. With ever expanding outreach, COSI is no longer contained in one "center." It is our brand, our name, our philosophy!

Wow...it pays to ask the right people (i.e. whoever wrote that)

JP,Thanks! Fella you took the words right out of my mouth!

Maybe we should consider a 4 or five hour trip as a "whole" to COSI next year. I think everyone would have a blast!

 DV...Now I think of it!

I checked out the website - looks pretty cool. I think we'll definately have to try to get there! It seems like a cross between the Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago) and a local "hands-on" place called Discovery Center. The kids love going there!
 Can't wait until June!

Yes, NOW you think of it!! Well come on, you gotta have something to make DVSF V even better than DVSF IV!!!

I already have my whole summer 2005 planned around that wonderful weekend in June. Don't let us down now!!

 Just kidding....

P.S. Maybe COSI could get us some discounted admission for showing little kids how horsepower and torque work. I'm sure they'd have easy access to a chassis dyno... man, wouldn't the kids just love that?
I could explain to them how long narrow tubes on top of my engine make more torque and how the fatter tubes on the top of Bob's engine over there makes more horsepower. Now, kids, let's see if you can hear or feel the difference.

They could put up a Virtual Reality screen in front of the car to simulate drag racing say....a...........Stock Corvette!!
Man, I'm just full of good ideas!

COSI is a cool place. Kids and adults alike usually enjoy COSI. There is lots to do in central Ohio. Parks, museums, the zoo, shopping, dining, water/amusement park, sports, festivals, historic areas, arena area and brew district, etc.

Dayton, only an hour away has an incredible Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

If the wife and kids get bored, then I don't know who is to blame. As for you zipzip, you belong to us for the week end!
