Does anyone know how you win one of those little gold trophies that some people have next to their forum name?????

In order for a Forum member to get one of those little gold cups next to their name they contribute a small amount to the person who runs this forum as a sign of appreciation???? Wow, that's a great idea.... and Rick, I don't know what happened to your little trophy... Maybe you didn't contribute last year? |

I know Turk isn't going to run with it this year--the was some talk of someone else stepping up but I've heard no more on it.

I would be happy to contribute but I can not take on a single more thing at this time. I feel like the large man dining in Monte Pythons "The meaning of life". My wife (or any one for that matter) comes to me and suggests just a little more and I give them the "F*&^ off I am full" response!:p :LOL:

Ron (CW) said the link for the cups was broken and they are working on it. As for the donations this year, we should get it started soon. Who is near Brent that could take this over if Turk can't handle it this year? Didn't we do it in June last year? Rick, anyone willing to do this, lets get it started.
I just noticed they now have "Contributor" next to the camera icon. To get a cup you have to up the anti to twice what Jammo makes in a month. Ron :):LOL: :3DSMILE: |

This had nothing to do with the DVSF at all. It was strictly for donations to CC, to help support this wonderfull site. Any more information should come from Brent of Turk. DV..The countdown has begun! |
Turk not do the collection this year? Hey, two years ago he got a Porsche out of the deal. Last year he got a Cobra. Why the heck wouldn't he want to do it again this year?

I've got news for you - a contribution doesn't guarantee an acknowledgment (trophy). I wrote a check last year, not for the trophy, but to support the forum (guess someone knew that, 'cause I dont have one :confused: )

I printed out my trophy, had it blown up, and made out of cardboard. Now I bring it to shows and say the car won first place at an all Cobra show!!! :JEKYLHYDE :LOL:
I agree it's time to do the support thing again. It's a great site and we should support it. I don't know anything about running websites, I'm far from a computer expert. But I'd volunteer to lead the fundraising if Turk or anyone else doesn't want to. I think it's a great idea to collect the money and present it at the Fling, if DV doesn't mind. DV said it doesn't have anything to do with the Fling. Maybe "officially" it doesn't, but this site truly helps make the Fling what it is. So what better place to do it? IMHO Steve |
