February 3, 2010 visit

Paid a visit today to the toy factory and brought back photogaphic evidence.

Here is a picture of Peter P. taking a nap during a call from Jim Holden:

Peter and Doug deep into it; not sure but I thought Doug was saying "I'm telling you, it really WAS this big..."

Jeff,

Great photos ... you saw it all, including Ted's workshop with the GT 40's, nice!

Peter's replacement, Wilson ... looks like he is on the ball

My Indigo FIA should be back to ERA in a few weeks ... any updates on the snazzy looking torch red FIA :)

Back at Tony's; I decided, after the holes had already been drilled, that I didn't want the posts that snap on the top and the tonneau cover cluttering up that sexy body. So, Tony is going to glass them up and repaint around the cockpit. Wasn't going to get the top, and don't plan to go out if there is much of a chance of rain. I'll have a waterproof cover in the trunk just in case.

Yes, I had never been to the R&D lab before. Sorry I didn't get any of your car, but it was totally wrapped in plastic (as were two others) and I didn't get the sense that anyone at ERA would be pleased if I unwrapped them to take pictures. Maybe I should have been more assertive, but, alas...BTW, what's your ETA?

Jeff

RAO-3 02-09-2010 07:13 AM

Jeff, I appreciate your efforts in trying to get the pics. My guess is that they covered it while they wait for the side curtains to arrive.

Did you happen to notice if the wheels/tires were installed?

When I last spoke to Peter, we were discussing the March time frame, but I haven't really been holding Peter to a specific date, given the weather. It gives me a good excuse to visit more!

I don't think so, although I can't be a 100% sure.

BTW - The reason Peter hasn't driven his Spyder is because his feet won't reach the pedals!
