Default RTV or Seam Sealer

Going to put some of the aluminum panels in the rear wheel well. What is better, RTV or Seam Sealer???

If this is the removable panel for your battery, I do not suggest either, but instead some good rubber weather stripping.

Otherwise, if this is a permanent panel, good old fashion exterior adhesive calk (I like 3M) works just fine.

Agree with Bill however seam sealer is great for long term.

Call ERA and ask specifically what they use. I had a few tubes from them and it was excellent. I later needed more and bought a high-performance seam sealer from McMaster-Carr, which performed well but was hard to work with and clean. Go with what ERA recommends.

I used a black Marine grade adhesive sealer from West Marine that has worked very well.
