Default Going to ERA 6/15

I will be going to ERA on 6/15 to ask lots of questions about building a new ERA.

If anyone would like pictures of something specific, please let me know and I will do my best.

John

I remember Bob saying that they were having a problem with the manufacturing of the side curtains. Now that might have been two or three years ago. They don't seem all that tough to make -- but what do I know? I've used mine once... maybe twice. Maybe even three times, naaahh.

Patrick I can see why you rarely use them.....they are ugly. No Cobra looks as good with those on...but if you really need them to extend your local driving season it looks better being driven than in the garage.

Peter did his BEST to discourage me from getting a set. He does not like them, made me promise not to complain about the leaks, wind noise and ill fit.

But I live in Oregon now, not Hawaii. I'm not sure if I will need them or not, but on a long trip, I'll throw in the trunk, just in case.

They'll eat up half your trunk space. Take some plastic sheeting and duct tape instead.

I was planning on taking a rain suit and a towel to go along with the side curtains. But plastic and duct tape, good call as well.

I don't even carry the soft top anymore. I keep a canvas tarp in the trunk. If I get caught in the rain I just stop in an underpass and wait it out.

John and Joy, My 2137 is supposed to be about ready. Would appreciate it if you would look for it and take pics! Otherwise, I will not be able to see it until it arrives here in Oklahoma. Thanks,

Greg

Gubby,

I hope to get there by fall for a tour as I paid my $$$$$ to get on the slabside list in November 2009. I am not certain where they are on the project BUT . . .if you happen to see or hear anything to report it would be greatly appreciated.

Default 289 Slabside Project ie: ERA3000 series

S1013

The second "ERA3000" series car has been started and is currently at Tony's. One of the big challenges was location of a source for the correct hubs and AC knockoffs. Thanks to the good folks at Dayton Wire Wheel, that appears to be no longer an issue.

So, progress.

Jim

Have not heard from Peter and crew for quite a while now, they have no doubt been busy ... hope 2136 is getting closer to the top of their list

I talked to Peter a couple of weeks ago, or less. He mentioned they were a man short and really hustling to keep up. Sounded like maybe someone was sick...
