Not blue, but right up your alley if you can substitute for black ;) see the link in my signature line.

Bill's car is a stunning example.

If you are looking for an earlier example of an ERA with full documentation you might also like to look at another car for sale by a Club Cobra member (Lamaluv)

E.R.A. 427SC Cobra EXP002, Guards Red, For Sale

(Oh yeah, if you can substitute blue for red ;) )

I remember dropping Bill K's Daytona Coupe off at your shop and wondered how I could sneak that one in between ERA 188 (almost identical to yours) and ERA 234 without my wife seeing it  . A truly great looking and sounding car.

Thanks for your kind words Bill and I too remember you and "He who's name we do not speak " old joke!! Bill Karns came to my shop with the first factory Five coupe that came through our doors and I still have the photos:-)
I have a new and bigger place now and as you can see in the photo my ERA 148 adorns my show floor during the winter months and if all goes well I hope to have a GT-40 there :-)

I thought Bill K was the "old joke" ;)

Not sure he hangs out here any more, this whole "slowing down in his old age" thing.

The coupe now resides in Rehoboth Beach, Del, I put the deal together a few years back.:D

you would be miles ahead buying from mr mustang. he is competent, the sheet i find when i sort these thing is incredible. i amazed there are not more fatalities from poor component installation on these cars. even the "the factory" built ones...

You will find that Ron's #148 is also an absolutely beauty that's built correct!! I guess that's why he's owned it for 20 some odd years.

Here's a beauty

1965 Shelby Cobra ERA 427 S/C

You may have just missed it as the new "owner" is coming to pick it up Saturday. However, he reserved the right to "pass" on it if it doesn't meet his expectations. I'll let you know if it's still available after this weekend..
ERA 446

Either way, it's hard to go wrong with an ERA. The 148 car above looks fantastic!!!

sea2jet 08-21-2014 05:52 PM

I have a friend with an ERA with a 427 aluminum side oiler, Shelby block, Top loader 4 speed, weber IDA 48 carbs, 800 miles since new. Sadly a divorce is forcing the sale. $44,000
PM me and I will forward your information.

sea2jet 08-23-2014 07:52 AM

For those of you that provided your contact information, I forwarded it to Steve up in Maine. The car sold this morning. Someone drove all night and got there at 7am and loaded it onto a trailer. For all that asked, the car was Black with no stripes. Thanks.

bobbybeige 08-23-2014 01:40 PM

Darn it. Don't think I could have done 3500 miles overnight to get there in time.

;)

The search continues.........

ERA759 09-01-2014 06:24 PM

I have an ERA that I would consider selling.. it has a 428FE. Unfortunately it does not match your color preference.

marionp01 09-02-2014 04:02 AM
