Default new owner #446

Been lurking and posting a little for 2 years. Always wanted a Cobra, but never thought it would happen. My dream has come true and #446 is now in my garage. I was only able to give it a quick look and then jumped behind the wheel to take it for a spin before the rain came in.

I will say that the car is AMAZING. I was worried about several things, but all is well. I fit in it fine, and the drive is just incredible. These ERA Cobras are well engineered cars, and this 18K+ mile, 19 year old example is proof to that!!!

446 has a genuine 427 Side Oiler, Toploader, Pin drives and more. The only options I can figure were not clicked were a heater and Smith gauges. Other than that she's loaded with all the goodies! White/Blue stripes.

I'll get some pics in a couple weeks. These things have to be done properly.... (:
Cleared up beautifully this evening and took 2 neighbors, my wife, and my 3 kids for a ride. I was busy warning about hot pipes, but I loved it. I feel really comfortable with the car now, even though I never really got above 3500 RPM on my first day. Just approaching 3000 RPM is enough to get the heart pumping. My kids are loving it. My wife.....well she asked to drive it, so that's a step in the right direction (I didn't let her).

Default teaser pics

These are from my phone on delivery day. I have some changes to do and then I'll post more "professional" shots.

Troy - the car looks great. The chrome exhaust and rollbar look sharp and overall looks in great shape. Enjoy it.

Is the exhaust chrome or polished stainless? I bought some metalwax a couple of weeks ago and it made my stainless pipes look like new. Took about half an hour a side, but took out the coloring and some black spots in the metal.

Hi 66gtk,
Congrats on your new ride. ERA makes one of the best Replicas out there. Word of caution, go easy on her until you get some time under your belt. These cars can get away from you quickly. I'm the proud owner of ERA #448, your car and mine were probably built next to each other. Good Luck, Art Fink

Well, even though it is not an ERA 289 FIA street version, it is another beautiful example! Welcome and much enjoyment!
