ERA Production Number Dates

Does anybody have a listing of the dates that the cars were produced/delivered?
I am in Canada & want to get myself a hold of one but of course we have to wait until the cars are registered for over 15 years to cross the border.
I see cars for sale by their production numbers, but am not sure when they were registered to inquire about purchasing.

I think you might find something in the mid/early 600's (chassis number on the 427 cars) -- remember some cars sit around a while before they get registered. This page shows the updates 427 Frequently Asked Questions and you're not going to get the benefit of the major changes starting with #731. Anything after 600 is pretty nice. Well, actually they're all pretty nice.;)

I've got 650 and I took delivery and registered it in 2003. Of course, if you need something that has been registered for 15 years, you can't necessarily go by production numbers. Some people take delivery of their kits and it takes them another few years to finish and register them. You probably want to look pre-600s, and likely mid to early 500s to be safe. If you are in the market for a very nice ERA with an original 427so that will satisfy your registration requirements, send me a pm- I know someone who is going to be selling one soon that is not listed for sale yet.

ERA 684 was registered in Sept of 04.

ERA535 was registered in early 1999.

Time flies.

Double post, sorry.

The reason I ask now is that I see #610 is up for sale on Cobra Country, it's basically exactly what I'm looking for, but I know it's not old enough yet.
Don't really feel like buying a vehicle that I have to store across the border for two years, the anticipation would kill me.

That is a great deal - why are people giving their ERAs away compared to what the SPFs are commanding???? I don't get it.

What you see are asking prices (most SPF's listed on Cobracountry are from Hillbank Motors, so a little self serving in an attempt to "make a market price"), not actual selling prices.

ERA # 571 was ordered at April, 25. 1999 and sent to Switzerland at July 2000

A friend of mine just sold his SPF (3rd owner) for $60K earlier this month.

Production Number

ERA 714 was built around 2006. I am the 2nd owner. I wouldn't even talk to anyone for less than $60k. I enjoy the car too much and will likely be the final owner.

ERA #448 was built in 1995 then delivered complete to her owner in 1996............

Yes, but Hillbanks would have listed it at $95,000 to sell it at $60,000 :LOL::LOL:

What production number are they at now?

The improvements at #731 were made when?

My 427 ERA is #795 and I picked it up in December 2013, so they'd be in the low 800's about now.

Hey Kevin - I think you meant 2012. Time flies when you're having fun. :)

Interesting - mine (#782) was shipped to me in Feb 2010. In a little less than 3-3/4 years between mine and Kevins #795 - only 13, 427 models were built which amounts to about 3-1/2 units/year over that time. If #806 is ready for shipping shortly, that's a jump to a bit less than 6 units/year over the last 20 months. Maybe the economy is looking a little better.

I wonder if the same is reflected in the FIA model. If so, the ERA boys are busy.

lippy 08-01-2014 12:49 PM

Mine is ERA 797 and shipped in May 2013.
