That does look good for a 20 year old car if it has been driven much.

Yes, they really do look better after a few years. The shiny parts aren't "as shiny," the hues are gentler, and there are points of slight wear that add a genuineness to the overall effect. If I could push a button today and have my car go back to the look it had ten years ago when it rolled off the truck from New Britain, I wouldn't do it -- it looks better now than it did on day one..

Default A work of art

An ERA Cobra is well built and when so cared for it will always look and show well. They are works of art and should be so taken care of.

My ERA #448 was built 20 years ago, she has 8K miles on the clock. Aside from some small pitting on some of the chrome and a few stone dinks, she looks absolutely beautiful. She has that Patina that makes even knowledgeable folks think twice if she is a Shelby original. That's why I waited for an ERA to come my way.................

I love ERAs! This one is particularly nice; great colour, roadster dash (and no stripes!). Beautiful!

Cheers,
Glen

Default Aged well

ERA #428 is 20+ years olds and aged like a fine whiskey. No body cracks, Paint looks good when with the 16 years of track wear and tear. 2nd motor change and trans, faster and still tight. Great product from the guys in Ct.
Now how do we help Peter P. with ageing

Default Peter and aging

Santa delivered Vermont maple syrup to Peter at the outstanding Christmas party last month. No doubt that will help with aging.

Born on date of June 1982 making it 33 yrs, it does have some ERA parts thanks to Peter P and Bob.
These used to be ERA biggest competition hence the post.
Current owner is fifth owner Stefano Greco from down under

Default Still looking good!

Jeff,

Your "old" Cobra still looks beautiful!

289 FIA's and 289 Slabside's are true to the first Shelby Cobras.

Default age

My Midstates is 20 years old this year. It looks new still except for some road rash.
