Default In tank fuel pump suggestions

My Fuel pump died today. I'm running a Fuel Injected 427 8 stack and am considering installing an in-tank pump instead of replacing the external pump that was there. Any experienced suggestions among the ERA crowd here on what may work here?

Thanks,
Troy

I have a similar setup - using an Aeromotive Phantom system. Works great - only catch is price.

ERA already has a baffled fuel tank design. http://www.erareplicas.com/427/fueltank.htm

Still, when my fuel level starts to get low I notice some throttle hesitation at times that I think is fuel delivery related. My thought is that an in tank pump will help but that Phantom system seems overkill for my already baffled tank and YES, it's expensive!

These are the guys that pretty much productized aftermarket in tank fuel hats, click here => Fore Innovations. they will sell you some, none or the whole shebang what ever you decide is best for your build.

Their stuff just works and it predates virtually all of the in tank hat systems out there today. They support Ford, Chrysler, GM and selected imports. The fuel pump hats are designed to be bolt in events on top of a OEM fuel pump flange — which means you would have to whip one up in a lathe and weld it to your tank.

They offer a wide range of supported pumps with service for two three and in the case of some blown applications, four pumps. As you can see from their site pics all the hats are cut from billet.

I've had one of their 03/04 Cobra triple pump hats for a decade or so and used others on cars with blown engines I built. Excellent performer.

I spoke with Doug on the phone and I think I'm going to just simply replace my fuel pump with the same unit and location as before. Thanks for the input here.
