Default ERA Floor Mats

I haven't seen this topic come up here since 2013. I am looking for another set of floor mats for my 427 (a post-731 car) that are plain black. Peter says ERA can no longer provide. I even offered him food!

Has anyone found a good alternative? I have been using a set sourced by ERA in the late 90s that are a near-perfect fit.

If the coco mats could be thin and not terribly expensive I might consider sending them what I have if they will duplicate. Who has done this?

Any input appreciated!

Brian,
If you’ve still got the original mats and they’re in decent shape to use as a pattern, I’d think any local auto upholsterer could make you a pair.

I just recently had custom mats made at Lloyd Mats using paper patterns that I made using the old mats as a template. They came out really nice but the salesman I talked to said they weren't going to make mats from paper patterns anymore and mine would be the last set. Their website still offers that as an option though so maybe you could convince them.

That's the right answer. For some reason, they made the decision not to make "no logo" floor mats some time, ehrrrr, I'm going to say around 2008 or so. I had mine made with no logos in 2006 and they've held up very well.

I ran the Coco mats in my previous ERA and will in the new one. They are heavy and not thin, but will last forever, assuming you buy the real thing and not a knock off (the mats, not the car).

The Coco mats look nice. I don't think I've seen them installed before.

I used to eat those as a kid. But, as I recall, they were "puffed" at the time.
