Default Heat insulation

The heat insulation on the foot box was destroyed by a rat. I need to replace it . Does anyone know where I can find some without writing on it.

Wow - wonder what else that rat chewed on. ERA has been (still is I guess) using Frost King duct work insulation that is inexpensive and can be found at Lowes or Home Depot most of the time. It has a gray mastic base about 1/8 to 3/16 inch thick, aluminum face and self adhesive backing.

I used Thermo Tech on mine and was very happy with it. It is easy to use and I had it right next to the headers and it never had any problem. I used it in the transmission tunnel, on the firewall, and on all brake and fuel lines that were anywhere near a heat source. When it got dirty I just used a damp rag and wiped it off. It is kind of expensive but was worth it to me as I put it on in 1997 and it is still there and working as well as ever. If you want to check it out here is the link to their website.

Kilmat 80 mil 36 sqft Car Sound Deadening Mat, Butyl Automotive Sound Deadener, Audio Noise Insulation and dampening

$60 delivered

I have bought four boxes in the last 3 months. Finished a 68 Fastback Mustang and working on a Cobra.
I have used Hushmat and Dyno Mat several times in the past.
KilMat is just as good in everyway. And a lot cheaper. Lot cheaper!

I had ERA use this product from Pegasus on the engine side of the footboxes instead of their usual material

https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...p?Product=1828

I also have their heat shields and Easy-Cool insulation under the carpet. My footboxes are not hot.
