Default Chaplin Needs New Name- ERA???

Well, it is done. After months of no sleep due to late nights reviewing the posts on this site, months of asking stupid questions, countless lost hours at work and a trip to Carlisle, I have finally made the decision. Just got off the phone with Peter P. and mailed my deposit check to ERA. Whew- what a relief.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for their insight, advice and patience in responding to my questions and to ERA 535 who's comments finally pushed me over the top in the decision making process.

The good news:
Now you guys don't have to listen to me ask stupid questions about replica manufacturers any more.

The bad news:
Now I will a year to ask a whole bunch of other stuipd questions.

The first wave of stupid questions:

How do I change my screen name to "ERA???" ?

Better question, how can I pass the time while I wait for deivery?

Thanks again to everyone. Your help has been invaluable.

Regards,
Mike

Welcome to the club waiting for their ERA's --- and GLADLY willing to do so. (actually -- now they are waiting for me)

You can change the stuff on the lft by going to your member profile under member tools in the top left of the screen.

Default Congrats..

Great choice, Mike...now the fun begins.

As Jim said, you can change the details under your User Name, but to change the User Name...unfortunately you have to create a new sign-in.

As far as how to pass the time waiting for an ERA, ask Turk...he wrote the book.

Mike -

I hate to hear that I pushed you over the top.....now every time something goes wrong you're going to blame me, right?

Seriously I am delighted to hear that you made the decision - whichever way you went.

During the wait time there are lot of things you can do...the engine, transmission, rear end, to name some of the major things.

If there is anything you want to ask about or discuss, please email or call. If you would like my phone number please ask.

I am sure any question you may have could be answered.

Pat Buckley

John-

Thanks for the welcpme. Happy to be a part of the club (but will be happier when I am part of the club driving their ERA's!)

Pat-
I won't blame you if something goes wrong (but if my wife complains about anything, I will tell her that it is your fault!! - Just kidding.) I pretty much had my mind made up, but you just made me realize that I might as well wait a little bit longer and truly get what I want. I accept full responsibility for any mishaps.

I will take you up on your offer, because I know there will be many questions.

Turk- How many chapters in that book?

Thanks again.
Mike

Chaplin,

The guys at ERA are great to work with, and the quality is un-surpassed! I just finished my kit that started as just a rolling chassis and raw fiberglass. The end result is incredible. It was a true joy to assemble

Todd-
I have heard nothing but good things about ERA and everyone I have dealt with have been fantastic. I hope mine looks as good as yours when it's done. Great job.

Mike
