ERA - SEMA Show

Bob,

I have a great idea....
I would be willing to trailer my ERA 427 (611) to Sema next October to represent the company in the context of a 1st time complete amature, builder. You can throw into the trailer a GT40 monocoque frame, and few odds and ends, even a display.

The only thing I need assistance on is the use of the nice black ERA trailer and the huge GMC Topkick truck to pull it, and maybe to have ERA subsidise the cost of the booth and lodging.

I can work on getting the time off from the day job.
If Peter brown bags his lunch for a day or two, this would hardly show on the bottom line. Definately a sound investment.

Actually, I better get working on the enginer repairs first and make sure the car actually runs again.

Todd Hedges I will go with you and drive. Pick me out on 80 at 287 intersection. The cars are the trailer already. What do you say Pete????

Ask Jim H. I will even change the oil in the TopKick, I am GM certified in cars and trucks. What week is it?? Run&Gun is in Oct this year 14-16 or 16-19 on a weekend. Come on Pete CAN WE CAN WE PLEASESSSS.
Hey Todd we can always borrow it for the week, just have to get around the Guard DOGS, landmines, guns, and electric fence. We can cover the cameras.

Pete it would be GREAT for the COMPANY.

Yeah, why not. I would even be willing to bring pictures of my old ERA and my new Shelby Cobra we could put on a nice display for them if they will just pick up some of our expenses.

We could probably all stay in the same room , me Rick Todd and the girls... There will be girls there, right?

Might as well collect the natives.
No sense in bringing sand to the beach, right?

Anyway, how about I bring the bullmastiff along as well, for security. Maybe we'll get a discount on insurance.

Anyone a good cook, or do we eat out?
I'm not a good gambler so we'll need extra funds for that I'm sure.

After reading some of the other road trip postings, I have to make sure that the Big GMC's windows roll down, otherwise I might ride in the back with the cars.

Now if we display the ERA next to the Shelby, would Shelby get mad. I realize that pioneering the technology does have merit, but the average Joe would only see the improvements of the ERA and may hold it against the Shelby. Anyway enough of that.

Who has gas money?

SHELBY won't get mad, they were no where to be found this year... what a shame.

Great show, needs ERA and others to participate. Even Dragon, the new kit car
company that did so well at Run & Gun during
the last two years were there.

No need to bring girls, Vegas is full of them!
Bring raki instead!

Bob Putham This sounds like a great plan. We have cars, salesman to sell the product and give demostrations

. A quality product with many years of loyal customers to talk about it. Solid stocks on Wall Street. The name sells itself. At night Bonyhadi has the entertainment covered. Turk will take care of the rooms. I will drive the rig. All we need is an adult to watch the kids

I think that covers all the bases. Question How many big breasted women do we need for hanging on the cars as waxers. I figure at lease 4. Any body else have any Ideas?????

I laid a copy of the thread on Pete and he seemed interested. Since he refuses to come into the computer age (his 6 year old knows more than he does), he'll have to communicate some other way.

Frankly, I don't want to get in the middle of a cyber-conversation.

There's always phone or fax...

Bob It has been a week and no reply to the idea for SEMA. Todd H, Bonyhadi, and I are willing to make the long hard journey for the GOOD of the company. Could you reprint the last memo and give it the the people in charge for a second look. Thank you for the efford. Loyal owners club member.
