Bob Putnam, re: my pending project
Bob,
I've talked with Peter and Doug about some of the things I want to do. Since Peter doesn't do "computer" I'm going to post this message to you to pass along, and also get your opinion.
Basically, I want to set my car up like one of Lynn Park's cobras. Fortunatly, there are photos taken by "STG" on club cobra. Take a look......
Note the shorter than normal sidepipes. I like that look.
"Builder Bob", can we do it?

Only cars without roll bars & hood scoops can have short pipes!

Traveller,
It looks like about 6" can be removed from the side pipe extension where it meets the "muffler bulge" without messing things up. It's probably going to be a bit louder though. Should be extra-fine for those underpass-accelleration tests.

Oh yes, it must pass the underpass acceleration test.
That's the one, when successfully executed, causes the random separation of fist size chunks of concrete from the surrounding bridge structure.
Let's do it!
I await the final cost+shipping info for the pipes and the brake upgrade.
Thanks Bob.

Hey Bob, my brakes and primary pipes didn't show up this weekend and, as a result, I was forced to do more yard work.
Can you check on their status?
If they don't show up this weekend I'll be planting more panzies.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SAVE ME!

Hey Bob,
My brake upgrade and and primary pipes arrived yesterday.
Thanks!
I was wondering if you have the brake upgrade instructions posted on your web site somewhere. The copy that was included in the box is very hard to read (put some toner in your copy machine).
I had also asked Peter to send a current mannual with the shipment but it wasn't in there. I've downloaded the one on the web site but I'd really like to have the diagrams too. I need it to assemble the side pipes.
Can you help me with this as well?
Thanks again!

Traveller,
I've posted the update instructions here.
That should help.

Half-way into my brake upgrade and I think I see why my brakes were acting up.
There's all kinds of junk in my fluid. Some of it looks like water, some of it is a thick black substance (maybe some degraded seals).
I'll make sure I flush the system well before buttoning it all up.

Bob,
I'm almost done with my brake upgrade.
Bracket cut off, new one welded on, master cilinders and lines installed. All I need to do now is bleed the system.
I was wondering if you could tap Peter on the shoulder and ask if he knows the status of my "special" sidepipes.
I'll be ready for the next phase soon.................
Thanks
Bill
