New ERA owner needs some help
Hi all,
I recently picked up ERA FIA#2101. Have installed the wiring and getting ready to install engine & tranny. I sure would like to see some other FIA small blocks to get some thoughts on the best way to set things up. Anyone live in Connecticut? I am in Haddam. I have been wearing out the phone lines to ERA and they are helpful but sometimes seeing answers alot of questions. Thanks. Jack |
This thread on the 289 FIa expansion tank has some nice engine shots.
http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69004 I'm seven cars behind you at #2108. Just started putting together my front suspension. Those A-arms are a struggle to get in. Did you do this work on yours? Any suggestions on the lower A-arm installation? DD |
Doug,
I had ERA put in the front & rear suspension. It looked like more than I wanted to handle. Jack |
Wow! That is gonna be one fine lookin' "little car"! I'm not on the East Coast but I'll be more than happy to post some pics of mine. If you have any shots you'ld like to see let me know & I can take some more.

More Webers in an FIA
There are pictures of the Weber installation on 2039 in my picture file. I used the "Mustang" type manifold so I could accomodate a tach drive distrbutor.

Jack -
I live in East Berlin, CT and am currently assembling ERA #2099, an FIA car with a small block. Please feel free to email me at marculan@comcast.net if there is anything that I can help with, or if you would like to take a look at the car. I have the engine and transmission in, and will start on the interior next week. Marc |
Jack, thought you might want to see just your basic holley installation. I finished #2095 a year ago March and everybody at ERA has been great about answering questions as they come up. Utilize their knowledge.....Ron

Nice basic layout...good work.

Jack:
I have absolutely no input on your problem. However, I did check out your gallery, and wanted to say that your car kicks proverbial a$$. Nice! |
Definately! Would love to see more pics once you get her up & running!

My FIA will be back at the ERA shop on Monday in preparation for the trek to Carlisle next Thursday. You're certainly welcome to check it over. Jim PS: You're at the fun part; planning and engineering the details that make the car "yours." |
