Default rear wireing harness failure

hi Bob. well tonight my rear drivers side tail lamp wireing harness melted pretty bad. i assume this happened from a short? all other wire components(front headlights and rear passenger side wires) look ok.

what do i have to do now? replace or rebuild a portion of my wireing harness?

did the short occure where the most melting was found(the rear taillamp area).

any help would be appriciated. you also sent me the dash wireing diagrams before. could i get those again from you, and any other diagram i might need.?

thanks for your help/... ken era #457

See my answer in the All Cobra Talk.

I can sell you a new rear harness but I think we should find the basic cause first. Do any of the wires at the connection between the rear and dash harness (by your left knee in the driver's footbox) look overheated?

I've sent you the link to the wiring stuff via personal message.

Bob, ill check the under dash harness. it did warm up, because as the problem was occuring while driving, i felt the harness near my left leg and it was warm, but not super hot. another wierd thing, today i checked other switches. when i flipped on my manuel fan switch, it blew the fuse. unk if related, but mabey. thanks again...ken ...also how much for rear wire harness? hard to install?
