Goin' North
I'll be away in Canada for a few days. No electricity...
Getting back next Tuesday. Don't blow anything up before I get back.

Better take your snow shoes.
And watch out for moose on all the roads.
Be prepared to use out house - no indoor plumbing in Canada
|
If You come on up to Alaska You can check out the Show and Shine car show on the Park Strip in Anchorage. And our out houses are real nice. Some are even two seaters, You can bring a friend.

My Thoughts Exactly!! Wow, Bob's gotten away for a few days!! Very wise to get away from the internet and crackberry's! Of course he can probably still see the smoke signals. Congrats Bob, you deserve a break. Thanks for the great help! Matt.

Don't get sick or injured while there or you will get a preview of Obamacare.

Funny stuff...
Well you know how Canada got their name dontcha know?
They put the letters of the alphabet in a hat and their leader pulled them out one at a time and it went like this... Remeber that ahy is pronounced as a long "A" vowel sound.
Ahy? Well here we go ahy... "C" ahy, "N" ahy, "D" ahy....

Very cool! Looks like a great time. How did you place in the competition?

(Throwing modesty aside...)
I finished second in Masters (over 40) Racing class. Not bad for a 62-year-old. Maybe about 10 other competitors in that class, coming from all over the US and Canada.
Big fish in a very, very small pond.

Bob ... congratulations !!! My only experience on the water was ( past tense ) with a kayak on the Edisto .... did you know they are actually a submarine ? Seems I sent a lot of time upside down .
I have found over the years that people who know what they are doing , make it look almost easy .... and you obviously know what you are doing !

Bob,
Excellent job.
Couldn't you have figured in a small block somewhere into that boat to make life easier though? ;)

Actually, there are those of us who contend that the person in the clip is actually Bob's evil twin and stunt double, Rufus Putnam (little known, but did stunt work in the movie "Deliverance" some years back....)
