Measured both sides, same issue. Like I said, the "ticking" Camaro brakes is a known problem---even the GM mechanic knew exactly what I was talking about.
The SSBC 185S's are on, and they feel great---no ticking, either. Strangely enough, the brake pedal has a more solid feel to it, which I attribute to pushing two, smaller pistons per caliper as opposed to pushing one big piston per caliper. I like the way the pedal feels now, much better. Okay, so my brake saga has come to a close. Were the SSBC's necessary? Probably not. Do I like them better? Yes, for the brake pedal feel alone, definitely. To get rid of that annoying "click, click, click"? Absolutely. Hey, they look pretty cool, too. DD :o |
