Default Will FFR fit me?????

I'am thing of purchasing a FFR cobra in another city. The FFR cobra doesn't have lowered drivers floor pan. My question I'am 6'2" tall will the stock cobra have enough leg room and will I be looking over the windshield? If someone about my height please email me

thanks,

kirk forsythe

Default yes, you will fit

Kirk, I tried to email you but was not able to for some reason. I'm 6'2" and 210 lbs. My car was built by another and I had the same concerns as well. Also, my car is a pre-2000 one and has the standard foot boxes. While it's tight (you are not driving a BMW 750 you know), it's ok. I have driven the car for 200-300 and perhaps more in a day before. I get out and streatch out my legs now and then on a longer jaunt. I found that other cars I looked at had no more room. (and I was not interested in a longer wheel base, after all this is for fun and I didn't want something that was not the right lenght). The only other car I looked at seriously was a SFP. They have no more leg room and the controls are off-set to the left. Oh, you would get used to it, but the leg room was no better and that was why I wanted to try it.

But hey, make sure before you buy it. In may case the guy drove all the way down from Alabama, some 350 miles. we met in a parking lot that we both new. The deal was not sealed until I drove the car, with the understanding that I had the final say. I suggest you do the same, as leg room is not the only thing you need to look at.... quality, condition? How the car is finished.... lots of detials there to look for.....

But, to answer your question, yes.... I think if I fit so would you.

Dan

Thumbs up

Dan,
You have to actually sit in one to know for sure, but here's some food for thought: I fit, and I'm 6'6". It's tight, but I fit, nonetheless. At 6'2", you should be fine.

The dropped floor pan can be retro-fitted into the earlier cars. A little work, but doable.

Thumbs up I fit!

Kirk; I'm 6'2" and 280 pounds. I have no problem getting in, driving, and getting out of my FFR.

I have problems getting in and driving West Coast, Everett Morrison, and ERA Cobras. I've driven a Superformance with little problems. Every Cobra is different, you need to get in them and try them out on the road.

6'4" here & I also fit pretty good. The only way to know for sure how comfortable you'll be is to sit in it.

Check the dates, this thread is over 8 years old.

My guess is he already bought the car.
