Oil Temp Gauge

My oil temp gauge broke an I can not find where to buy one. Its a Lucas gauge. No body has them listed. There is a fix, I was wondering if anybody ever tried this.Broken Temp Gauge Its very detailed. It shows how to fix a gauge for a 53 Plymouth. Let me know if you know where I can buy a new one or if you have ever fixed one

flips, Superformance originally came with Smith's gauges. Nisonger gauges can fix your gauge or sell you a new one.

I wasnt thinking when I wrote this, I know it has Smiths gauges an Lucas switches. Got mixed up you know how it is when you are old as the hills, I thank you for setting me straight an the info.

funny thing, my temp gauge went out last week. they want 140. for new and 130 to repair. thinking of replacing with the electric Kirkham gauges.

Out of curiosity where does the temp gauge get its reading from if you are already using the hole for pressure?

Thanks Walter I will give them a call, an true007 I am not using that hole for pressure, coming off the block for oil pressure. The oil temp comes from remote oil filter adapter.
