Wouldn't you rather run 11's than pore over data just to give rooks sermons?? Helping guys is great but not giving lessons and homework.

Frankly, I'm impressed you spelled "pore" correctly.

Your lash settings will depend on your motor...iron or aluminum block and iron or aluminum heads.
The following is from the old Crane Cams:
You can take the "hot" setting given to you in the catalog or cam specification card and alter it by the following amount to get a "cold" lash setting.
With iron block and iron heads, add .002"
With iron block and aluminum heads, subtract .006".
With both aluminum block and heads, subtract .012".
Remember this correction adjustment is approximate and is only meant to get you close for the initial start up of the engine. After the engine is warmed up to its proper operating temperature range, you must go back and reset all the valves to the proper "hot" valve lash settings.

Well I did spend a few conscious minutes in high school...
You under estimate everybody. And it's not a flattering trait.
Seriously- address my point please- is this the sum total of your enjoyment of being in the He-Man Cobra Owners Club?

Where else can you get good advice as a rookie and free entertainment like this?
Now driving a cobra through Anacostia would be a different experience to say the least. I know there are carbon fiber cobras, what about Kevlar cobras?

No, he wants a walking tour, maybe just after midnight. And he gets bonus points if he continually shouts "I need a dime, I need a dime" at the top of his lungs and still makes it back to his hotel alive.:3DSMILE:

The point is to be circumspect about whose advice you seek and whose you follow.
Knowledge without experience is worthless.

Anacostia is one of the least safe neighborhoods in DC. Which makes it one of the least safe neighborhoods in the country.

... and if Chas was sceaming that he "needed a dime," that would be interpreted as a polite request for a $10 rock of crack cocaine.;)

Somehow the fact that you asked for valve lash advice, and we ended up sending ERAChas in to Anacostia to buy crack cocaine, really appeals to me.
