The original intake I think was a Edelbrock crossram not a OEM Ford. I know the MT crossram uses a extension bushing on the distributor. And this one clearly shows the distributor seated in the stock postion. This site has been around a long time and has some cool pics and info. No idea about the true/false aspect so FWIW.
