The Aviaid pan is the nicest oil pan I have ever used.
it is worth the delta in $- it is up to a standard, and not *down to a price*
canton makes a good pan as well, but I have seen way too many of their FE pans with cracked welds.
The canton Windsor pans are nice though, I run their copy of the boss 302 pan on my SPF.
I agree with the assertion on oil temp as well , you can over-cool your oil, and generate undue wear.
