I had a heim joint ended torque rod going from the driver's head to the frame. I think the Chinese mounts sagged and shifted putting increased shear loads on the POS soft rubber mount.

Funny thing... the car actually feels smoother with steel mounts. I'm just sorry I didn't do the swap earlier.
