Undy's carbs were the original "test case". Since repro carbs were already available, and we were looking for something "more" to support higher power and cubes - I went to my old cohorts at Quick Fuel fro suitable options.

I worked at Holley for about eight years. Marty was our VP, Marv & I were the "technical sales" guys that handled all the non-distributor accounts such as BG, Braswell, Standard Motor and such. As Holley went through the corporate washing machine, I went to F-M in '92 and a few years later Quick Fuel was founded by Marty & Marvin.

We continue to refine the 2x4 carbs, and we recently went to all QFT sourced lighter weight aluminum castings. They are using a gold alodine coating to approximate the dichromate color - its not the same but it's pretty reasonable looking - certainly better than polish on this vintage application and should help with corrosion resistance. The bowls give us a few added features - a sight window for float level and the capability for dual feed with side pivot floats. We've also added externally adjustable secondary rates.

Linkage is Ford OE compatable, fit is snug but works, calibration is usually on the rich (safe) side of correct. Fuel curves have been pretty linear and responsive on the dyno. Base plates do not have any "extra" PCV passages that cause vac leaks on some intakes. Manual choke or milled choke towers are no charge options. We've sold quite a few sets of these and the vast majority have been trouble free installations - although David's set has posed some challenges...
